Summer Career Prep Workshops

Meredith Manor will offer three Summer Career Prep Workshops featuring our Riding, Farrier and Equine Massage programs. All three will be lead by our certified instructors and provide additional opportunities to explore our beautiful campus in Waverly, WV, and also learn about programs, schedules and financial aid. Cost is $25 and lunch will be provided. Each one-day session runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Schedule 9:30 to 11 a.m. - Campus Tour 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. - Admissions and Financial Aid info session 12 - 1 p.m. - Lunch 1 to 4 p.m. - Interactive workshop with Meredith Manor instructor

Wednesday, June 26 - Riding with Audra Broach

- Registration closed. Workshop is now Full.

As a Meredith Manor riding instructor for the past 7 years, Audra is well versed in riding fundamentals for all levels of riding and all disciplines. This workshop will cover rider development utilizing our campus Bucking Machines and it will also cover Riding Theory. Rider fitness and career paths for riders will also be discussed. Register by June 19.

Wednesday, July 10 - Farrier with John Crothers

John is AFA and AAPF certified and has headed the Meredith Manor Farrier Program for more than 10 years. The workshop will discuss anatomy, tools and their uses, stances and horse handling for the farrier. Continuing education for the farrier and career paths for farriers will also be discussed. Register by July 3.

Wednesday, Aug. 7 - Equine Massage with Lisa Jensen

Lisa joined the Meredith Manor team in March, teaching both Equine Massage and Leatherworking. She is a 2016 Riding Master VI graduate, giving her a unique understanding of how both massage and properly fitting equipment can impact your horse. This workshop will cover anatomy, basic strokes and stretches, developing a brand/logo and career paths for equine massage therapists. Register by July 31. Each session allows for a maximum of 10 participants. Those attending must be 16 or older.
