Hello again from all of us at Meredith Manor! We have been having a rainy summer so far. It is a good thing we have all classes scheduled in indoor arenas! We have a big group for our summer quarter and things have been moving along great. Dr. Elizabeth Hammerman, Meredith Manor educational specialist was here last week for four days. Dr. Hammerman evaluates staff and works on curriculum revisions and planning. It is always a productive time when she visits. Meredith Manor implemented our Training Certification program this quarter. We are offering three levels of training certifications. Students must pass a practical and written exam as well as meet all requirements for the certification. Students involved in the training classes are excited about this new addition to our curriculum! Meredith Manor will have a booth at Equine Extravaganza in Raleigh, NC from July 11-13th. If you are going to be at the Extravaganza please stop by our booth and say hi to Kelly and Dirk. If you haven’t visited our web site for awhile please take a look. The pictures from our Awards Assembly and Showmasters from last quarter are posted, as well as new articles, etc. Work on our dormitory “crates” is moving along great. Six crates have been completed and are full. The last four will be done in time for the September class to move in. The students living in the crates love them and are enjoying their scenic spot on the side of the hill! Dr. Patterson, our Equine Chiropractor, was here this past Friday. It is a great experience for our students who assist with holding and handling horses who are scheduled for adjustments. Quote: "Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle." Abraham Lincoln Until next time!
Sincerely, |
