Financial Aid Information

Student Financial Assistance

Because Meredith Manor is a nationally accredited school, federal financial aid is available to qualified applicants. The purpose of the financial aid program is to ensure equal access and choice to all students seeking an education at Meredith Manor, regardless of their, or their parents’, financial ability to meet tuition and other costs. Students and their parents should be aware that the primary responsibility of a child’s education rests with the student and parents.

Student Eligibility

To be eligible to receive federal financial aid you must be enrolled in an eligible program, maintain satisfactory academic progress, and be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.

  • Students on 12-week contracts (Riding Master I, Shoeing Short Course) are not eligible to receive federal financial aid.
  • To determine whether you are considered dependent or independent, refer to the Student Dependency Status section of the FAFSA. This is based on age, marital status, etc.
  • If you are starting your program in the Summer, Fall or Winter quarters, fill out the FAFSA that starts the same year as your program. Ex., if you are starting in Fall 2012, fill out the 2012-2013 FAFSA. If you are starting your program in the Spring quarter, fill out the FAFSA that ends the year your program starts. For example, if you are starting in Spring 2012, fill out the 2011-2012 FAFSA.
  • Federal tax returns for parent and/or student for prior year (ex. 2011 tax returns for 2012-2013 FAFSA) must be completed prior to completing the FAFSA.
  • If you have already received financial aid for a different school for the year of the FAFSA you will be filling out, please contact Matt Bosgraf to determine the proper FAFSA to use.

I feel that every day I spent at MM made me more prepared for my future. The theory and the eye that you get from being immersed in an in-depth program really makes all the difference. I have been able to adapt what I know to any discipline, any situation.
